Tournament Boards

These tournament chess boards are great for all occasions.  Since they are made from vinyl, mousepad, or silicone material they are easy to roll up and stick in your chess bag.  Each material has its own benefits and drawbacks:

1)  Vinyl is cheap and durable.  Pieces move VERY well on vinyl.  It is very stain and dirt resistant.  Drawbacks are it will eventually develop a memory and not lay flat.  It does not fold or bunch well and come back to shape.

2)  Mousepad boards are more expensive.  These boards are digitally printed and can be made to even look like wood.  They will not move once placed on the table.  Drawbacks are they do not handle the dirt and stains well.  

3)  Silicone chess boards are made from food grade silicone material.  They will not stain and are easy to clean.  The main drawback to these boards is that pieces do not slide well.  They also attract dirt and hair more than the other kinds forcing people to clean them more often.
